Farmhouse Road is the historic location of Sweet Briar College’s original equestrian center, converted from a former dairy barn in 1925. Our equestrian center has moved across campus and grown significantly, providing space for students who take lessons and ride on our nationally-competitive teams. Farmhouse Road is now the site of our front vineyard, where our cabernet franc grapes grow. This rich, complex wine represents the dynamic agricultural history–and future–of our campus.
